Filing international applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty

The service provides citizens of the Slovak Republic or persons residing or having their registered office in the Slovak Republic with the filing of international applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The international application must be filed in English, French, German or Slovak and the annex to the electronic form, Form PCT/RO/101, must be completed in English, French or German. In the case of filing through the Central Portal of Public Administration, the fee reductions for electronic filing under the Administrative Guidelines of the World Intellectual Property Organisation shall not apply to the international application filed. Proceedings for an international application consist essentially of two basic stages, the national phase, which takes place in the Office, and the international phase.
