Tunisia, Turkey and Hungary Join Designview
As of April 20, 2015 the Tunisian National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property (INNORPI) has made their design data available to the Designview search tool administered by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market; on March 16 the Turkish Patent Office (TPI) did so and on February 12 the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO).
The integration of INNORPI and TPI is a concrete result of the International Cooperation Programme managed by OHIM and the integration of HIPO is a concrete result of the Cooperation Fund Programme managed by OHIM in collaboration with its European partners.
With INNORPI, TPI and HIPO on-board, there are now 29 participating offices in Designview including Norway, Russia and non-European offices in South Korea, Mexico, Morocco and OHIM. With the addition of more than 12.000 Tunisian designs, 450.000 Turkish and 13.000 Hungarian designs the system now provides information and access to almost 4,2 million designs in total.
Since the introduction of Designview in November 19, 2012 the tool has served more than 920.000 searches from 139 different countries, with users from Spain, Germany and the UK.
