The exhibition of the most successful works of the 4th International Biennial Competition LOGO 2014, which took place in the in the Central Slovakia Gallery in Banská Bystrica in summer this year, is made accessible in the premises of the Industrial Property Office of SR.
It is possible to see 21 logotypes from authors from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia in the IPO SR.

The logotype is one of the most challenging creative processes in the utility graphics. The beginning of the 21st century is a breakthrough period in the perception of and strengthening the importance of brands - logotypes - in the social awareness.

The International Biennial Competition LOGO is a unique event related to the graphic design in Slovakia. It is aimed at the evaluation of the quality of logotypes in Slovakia and at comparing it with neighbouring countries. Banská Bystrica Advertising Agency ENTERPRISE and Slovak Design Centre were the organisers of the Biennial Competition with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of SR.

LOGO 2014 had two competition categories. The main category was meant for professional graphic designers, designers, graphic studios or advertising agencies. The student category introduced works of students of high schools and universities focusing on utility graphics and design.

56 authors exhibiting 82 competitive works enrolled for the 4th year of the Biennial Competition. Visitors could see author logotypes form Greece, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The winners of both categories and the winner of the Slovak Design Centre Award were pronounced at the opening of competition works at the Central Slovakia Gallery on June 18.

The exhibition of the best works of the Biennial Competition LOGO 2014 lasts in the premises of the Industrial Property Office of SR till December 19, 2014.
